Underwater, you will visit a living world, beautiful but fragile. Friction, shocks crush and kill the fixed animals that enchant the landscapes you have come to admire. The disturbance can scare away fish that are protecting their spawn, delivering the offspring to predators. Feeding disrupts the balance between species and perverts the behavior of fish.
The International Responsible Diver Charter is a memento of eco-responsible diving. It is not a sum of constraints but of advice to protect the marine environment that you, divers love so much. Its purpose: to encourage everyone to question themselves and to set up the optimal diving conditions for the preservation and fair sharing of the riches of the sea.
